Our Solutions

Road Freight Options

Full Truck Load (FTL)

Enough cargo to fill a truck? FTL gets it there fastest. Your goods travel direct from collection to delivery -- no stops, no consolidation, no intermediate handling. We arrange FTL across the UK, to all European destinations and on key African corridors.

Curtainsiders, box bodies, flatbeds, low-loaders and temperature-controlled trailers. We pick the right truck from our vetted haulier network and GPS-track every movement until delivery.

Groupage & Part Loads

Do not need a whole truck? Groupage shares vehicle space with other consignments heading the same way. You save money; transit times are only slightly longer than FTL. Daily departures from the UK to key European destinations.

Works well for palletised goods, packed cartons and smaller consignments. If you ship regularly on the same route, we set up a standing booking with volume-discounted rates.

Express Road Freight

Same-day and next-day delivery across the UK. Rapid transit to European destinations. When you have urgent spare parts, production-critical materials or high-value goods that need to move now, express road freight is the answer.

Small vans for documents right up to full artics for larger urgent loads. Fixed collection times, guaranteed delivery windows and live driver tracking. You always know where your cargo is.

Cross-Border African Trucking

Getting cargo from an African port to an inland destination takes local knowledge and trusted partners. We arrange cross-border trucking from major ports to landlocked countries and remote project sites. 44 years on the continent means we know the routes, the border procedures and the people.

Key corridors: Mombasa to Uganda, Rwanda and DRC. Dar es Salaam to Zambia, Malawi and Burundi. Lagos to Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Durban to Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana. Border formalities, transit bonds and local permits all managed.

FAQ

Road Freight FAQs

How long does road freight to Europe take from the UK?

Transit times vary by destination and service level. Express road freight to Northern France and the Benelux countries typically takes 1-2 days. Standard groupage services to Central Europe take 3-5 days. Destinations in Southern or Eastern Europe may take 5-7 days. We provide exact transit times at the point of quotation based on your specific requirements.

Do you handle post-Brexit customs paperwork for UK-EU shipments?

Yes, our customs team manages all post-Brexit documentation including export declarations, safety and security declarations, T1 transit documents and import entries for the EU. We ensure your goods are pre-cleared to minimise delays at Channel crossings.

What is the difference between FTL and groupage?

FTL (Full Truck Load) means your goods have the entire vehicle to themselves, travelling directly from collection to delivery without stops. Groupage combines your shipment with other consignments heading in the same direction, sharing the vehicle and costs. FTL is faster and more secure; groupage is more cost-effective for smaller loads. We help you choose the right option based on urgency, volume and budget.

Can you arrange cross-border trucking in Africa?

Yes, this is one of our specialist services. We arrange cross-border trucking from major African ports to landlocked destinations including Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Zambia, Malawi, Niger and Chad. We manage border formalities, transit bonds, local permits and security escorts where required, drawing on 44 years of experience operating on the continent.

Do you transport dangerous goods by road?

Yes, we arrange ADR-compliant dangerous goods transport by road throughout the UK and Europe. This includes trained drivers, compliant vehicles with appropriate signage, and full documentation including the dangerous goods transport document. We handle all classes of dangerous goods by road.
